Since the June 2020, the Heart of the Lakes Weavers have been weaving up a storm at AATC and weaving their way into our hearts, each person a perfect thread in the fabric of our community. The clickity-clack of the looms creates a cadence that has become the heartbeat of AATC.

The colorful fabrics they weave are made into gorgeous towels, napkins, placemats, table runners, pillows, bags and more. All items are woven onsite and for sale in our art, fine craft and gift gallery. Our vocational weaving program offers individuals weaving skills, job skills, and work with dignity.

Tuesday through Friday mornings, AATC is alive with sound and color. The sounds of the looms, the gentle banter and uplifting music (and often singing) create a soundtrack for our days. The camaraderie of weavers, volunteers and staff has quickly woven a joyful sense of inclusive community and creativity. Our weavers have not only found a job, but a job with dignity and a place to belong.

The Heart of the Lakes Weavers vocational weaving program depends on the generous support of people like you. Through your contributions, we pay meaningful wages to our weavers and those who support them. Please consider a financial contribution to this life-changing opportunity.
